I recently read a post from Aram David which seemed a bit hasty to me.

I keep coming to this site wondering when I can really take advantage of the great features that were built into Newsvine. [...] But It is only a private DEMO right now. This is a bit frustrating, because if I used it, I would be excluding all the people who dont have Newsvine accounts.

I don't know if he is aware that newsvine has only been in the beta testing for two weeks, but this comment seems a bit hasty to me. Beta testing, especially on a large scale application such as this one, is a necessity. Not only are "we" fixing bugs, but we are also suggesting new ideas everyday to make the site more user friendly and enjoyable for the whole public. The whole point of beta versions is to test them and improve them before the grand public has access. Believe me, the fun hasn't started yet.

I think you should trust me when I say that "Good things come to those who wait". Newvine is only going to improve with time and therefore we should be patient so that the site has a great opening day (eventhough it seems pretty much ready to me, hehehe). But I guess it doesn't hurt to be anxious for newsvine to really hit it off.
