A Calgary woman has become the first Canadian to receive enough donations from strangers through a U.S. website to get breast augmentation surgery.

Candace Leadley, a 26-year-old single mother, came across a website called My Free Implants while surfing the internet in 2006. The site connects women wanting bigger busts with men willing to donate money to their operations.

The website managed to raise about 1 million dollars so far... It's a little sad that that money goes to something like breast implants instead of breast cancer research or something like that. I'm not sure how I feel about this subject. Part of the beauty of the internet is to have all those "niche" available to different people across the world, but the money could really be used for something better in my opinion.
